NZ Parliament staff made a visit to Port Vila in March 2025 and since then NZ Parliament have had a very steady working relationship with Vanuatu parliament.
· In August this year NZ Parliament had two parliamentary staff (Steeve Ayong and Jean-Regis Deleveau) from the Parliament’s ICT unit visit for a very successful weeklong study program.
· In November 2025, NZ Parliament had two parliamentary staff -Stephanie Mahit and Georgy Bage visit and participate in the Australia Parliamentary Educators Conference.
· And beginning 1st December 2025, MP Jackson Lessa and MP John Joseph and two parliamentary staff, Giscard Kavick and Andrianna Tari from the Vanuatu parliament arrived to start their weeklong program for NZ Scrutiny week.
NZ Parliament has these visits twice a year and always invite a Pacific parliament to participate.
In June 2025 NZ parliament had a successful visit with a delegation from the Solomon Islands Parliament. Now it is Vanuatu’s turn (What is Scrutiny Week?)
