On 23rd of May 20215, Pacific Heads of Missions welcomed PIF SG Waqa to Wellington over a working lunch at the Dockside.
His Excellency Waqa was in Wellington on an official visit meeting NZ government and other NZ organizations.
All Pacific Island Missions were present including the Trade Commissioner of Tonga who is based in Auckland, Excellency Lenisiloti Sitafoti Ahio and the Deputy High Commissioner of Australia to NZ, Mrs. Amy Guihot.
The senior HOM, High Commissioner of Vanuatu, HE Jimmy Nipo, thanked NZMFAT’s Mark Ramsden and the Pacific regional team for the invite and the opportunity to meet the SG of PIF and his delegation. HE Nipo said it was an honor to meet and sit side by side with Excellency Waqa today. Mr. Nipo concluded by saying that the PIHOMs are looking forward to hearing more about the forthcoming PIF reviews and are always ready to partner in implementing PIFs vision.
