Welcome to the website of the High Commission of the Republic of Vanuatu in New Zealand.

The Vanuatu High Commission is the principal representative of the Vanuatu Government in Zealand and is charged with the mandate to promote relations between Vanuatu and New Zealand in key areas of interest.

The relations between New Zealand and Vanuatu have been growing steadily over the past 40 years since establishment of relations in 1980. The partnership between the two countries covers a wide range of areas including economic and trade relations, the Labour Mobility Program, Health, Climate Change, Defence, Education, people to people connections as well as on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

As a developing country with rich natural resources, Vanuatu is open to investment. There is growing interest in a wide range of areas in the service sector, agriculture development and manufacturing. Vanuatu is a popular tourist destination and a country where foreign investments can flourish.

We support Vanuatu and New Zealand businesses, professionals and visitor or any person who wishes to learn about Vanuatu.
